<p>Emotions are inevitable in our day-to-day life and play most important role maintaining interpersonal relationship, communication, overall quality of life. The ability to regulate emotion is also very deal effectively with everyday stressors. Personality an aspect human being determines the unique adjustment his/her environment. traits influence perception individual thereby impact way regulates emotions. Emotion regulation varies significantly across individuals so as personality traits. present study aims at determining relationship between among athletes non-athletes. cross- sectional was conducted on participants (N=180), consisting (N=80; Male= 55 Female= 25) non-athletes (N= 100; 45 55). All were selected through convenient sampling method. Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient reveals that for Openness experience extraversion positively correlated cognitive reappraisal neuroticism expressive suppression. This means high openness tend use appraisal strategy whereas prefer suppression strategy. For non-athletes, experience, conscientiousness related suggests those who Multiple regression analyses suggest athletes, significant predictors Cognitive predictor reappraisal. discusses pertinent potential implications results.</p>
